A Rainy Fall Adventure On The Coast Of Oregon
A summary of a long weekend on the coast of Oregon, exploring Ecola and Fort Sevens State Parks, and enjoying lots of yummy food and beer!
OC Parks: Peter's Canyon Lake View Trail
If you live in Orange County, you have probably heard of Peters Canyon Regional Park. It’s a part of the OC Parks system with multiple trails and even a lake.
The Softest Socks - Bear Feet (now Wildly Good) Socks
Bear Feet Co socks are some of the softest socks we’ve ever worn! We tried out the merino wool socks, and have loved them! They are truly so soft, but still warm and dry as merino wool should be, and are perfect for hitting the hiking trail in boots, for lounging around at home, or for a day in the office!
A Bird Walk At San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary
Finding peace and quiet in the middle of Orange County can be difficult. The San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary is a great place to find it. This sanctuary and marsh provide a quiet retreat with lots of options for walking, bird watching, or just relaxing in nature. The Sea & Sage Audubon Society work with the sanctuary to protect birds, wildlife, and their habitat. They provide an amazing escape in the middle of Irvine, California!
Thule T2 Pro XT Bike Rack: A Perfect Fit For Our Subaru Crosstrek
When we got new mountain bikes, we quickly realized that we needed a sturdy bike rack. The Thule T2 Pro XT has been perfect for taking our bikes to local trails and to big adventures further away! It fits our 2015 Subaru Crosstrek perfectly, and looks just as good as it fits!
Let's Hike: Ernie Maxwell Trail in Idyllwild
A great hike in Idyllwild, California in the San Bernardino National Forest. The trail starts from Humber Park and meanders along the hillside with multiple creek crossings, great views of Tahquitz Peak and San Jacinto and fantastic forest scenery.
Point Reyes: Bear Valley to Meadow to Sky to Coast Loop
We love the Point Reyes National Seashore area, and similar to our first visit, we left the second visit already planning for next time. We hiked Bear Valley to Meadow to Sky to Coast and back to Bear Valley, and would highly recommend this loop (despite a terrifying bee sting)! The hiking here is great, and the area is just beautiful!
